Tropical Smoothie Bowl

It’s smoothie bowl season!

Refreshing, tasty and nutrient rich, these little pretties are the perfect way to fill yourself up before (or after) a day in the mountains or at the beach.

Whee!


here’s what you’ll need

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1 cup frozen mango

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice

  • honey

  • peanut butter

  • granola

  • strawberries, quartered

  • blueberries

  • kiwi, peeled and diced

  • shredded coconut flakes


here’s what you’ll need to do

Toast coconut flakes in a pan over medium-low heat until slightly golden and fragrant.
Set aside to cool.

Blend frozen fruit, bananas, milk, and a drizzle of honey until smooth.
We like to use our Vitamix to do this.

Place smoothie in a bowl.

Top with fresh strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, granola and toasted coconut flakes.

Add a glob of peanut butter, and enjoy immediately.

Good To Know: This amount should serve up two big smoothie bowls, or four smaller ones - so you’ll want to adjust accordingly.

Also Good To Know: If your smoothie seems too liquid-y, add more frozen bits to the mix.
